Swiss-based power and automation technology firm ABB has announced plans to help develop China's first large-scale shale gas project.
ABB is going to be working with Sinopec to provide automation and engineering services for the first phase of Sinopec's Shale Gas Project in Chongqing over the next three years.
The Fuling field, discovered two years ago in West China, is said to have massive reserves of shale gas.
Shale gas is a natural gas located in shale deposits.
The Chinese government released a "Shale Gas Development Plan" two years ago.
